An Affirmation-Prayer for the New Year

Thank you, 2024 and HELLO, 2025! No matter which calendar you align with, I am sending you love and blessings for another year of magical existence. [I personally celebrate three new years—based on the Gregorian calendar, the Chinese lunar (lunisolar) calendar, and the 13 Moon 28-day galactic calendar (synchronometer)—as they say, the more, the merrier!]

Happy new year, dear friends, readers, and new visitors! Thank you for dropping by today. We begin another year with so much hope, joys, and excitement. Are you done with your goal-setting, planning and affirmations? Do take it easy! Remember, just the act of taking stock of your milestones and learnings is already a great start.

The year 2024 had been full of learnings for all of us—and for some, its share of challenges—but every day offers new hope, and with it, new beginnings! Here’s a little gift for you. May it serve as an affirmation or prayer. I have infused it with affirmations and prayers (and reiki, too!). May this accompany you as you journey toward your goals and aspirations.

It’s from a page of my channeling journal. I began the practice of automatic writing last year and this is from the first attempt. For those new to this practice, automatic writing is also known as psychography. As the term suggests, it is writing without consciousness; it is largely between you and your Higher Self or inner wisdom (or soul), depending on your beliefs. It’s a soul-level union /communion with your deepest self or the source of wisdom. 

There is no complex requirement for this. You just need a pen and paper /notebook and a quiet and peaceful place. If the co-creative mood calls for it, a soft instrumental or nature-based music in the background and some candles might help (do take the usual safety precautions when using candles). Simply be still or meditate for a few minutes. When you are ready, you can think about your query and ask for guidance (if you have one but it’s not a requirement). Depending on your beliefs, you could also pray for clarity. And then, begin writing. Let it flow automatically. Remember don’t think, don’t allow your conscious self /mind to overtake the process. If this happens, just stop. Connect with the silence again. Continue when you’re ready.

I don’t usually read whatever I wrote-channeled immediately. On some days, I wait for weeks or even months before reading them. That way, I won’t be forced to edit them (lol). It’s very important during this practice not to allow your conscious and intelligent self to interfere or get in the way. Otherwise, it is no longer automatic or channeled writing. You could practice this as part of your soul journey, meditation practice, devotion, or simply when needing guidance, inspiration, or insights in making decisions.

I may consider publishing these chanelled writings (or include them in my upcoming novel) but in the meantime, here’s the first gift from the divine. I have also created an image file (I’ve drawn the sketch of a feather-mandala many years ago), which you can print out.
